Plett Wedge Classic
The Plett Wedge Classic is the 4th and final event before S.A champs on the SA Body boarding Association circuit. It is the longest standing Body boarding event in South African history. SA Body boarding Association (SABA) is the governing body of body boarding in South Africa. They are a non-profit organisation operating for the aim of developing and nurturing new body boarding talent, as well as providing rules and structure to contests from club level to national level. There are 7 provinces which are affiliated to SABA and are represented at the annual SA Champs, which has been running since 1987.
Kings of the Plett Wedge Classic
During the Plett MAD festival South Africa?s longest running body boarding contest is back on the beaches of Plett! Riders from all over South Africa compete for the title ?King of the Wedge?.?The event promotes body boarding in SA and exposes fans to the most talented individuals of the sport.
The Wedge Beach
The Wedge Beach in Plett offers spectators excellent views of the action. The wave is the ultimate wedging shore-break with fast barrels enjoyed by board-riders.
