Albergo for Backpackers is situated in absolutely the best spot in Plettenberg Bay.The beach, shops, restaurants and nightlife are all within easy walking distance. We offer Camping, Dorms, Doubles and Doubles en suite accommodation. Nothing can beat our stunning views from the balcony where dolphins and whales are often spotted cruising the beautiful bay of Plettenberg Bay.

Every night is a bonfire night. Using our braai (BBQ) facilities we can teach you to master the art of traditional South African outdoor cooking.

Our television room (with its satellite TV for movie and sport addicts), bar and pool table are located away from the sleeping areas.

At Albergo’s One Stop Action Shop (our activity center) we offer all information about activities in the area and our helpful staff will gladly assist you with bookings. (always ask for the special backpacker prices). A shuttle service is available for transport to the various activities.

For those who want to hang out at our gorgeous beaches and practice their surfing skills, we have surfboards for hire and body boards for free. If you just want to have a lazy day, you can relax in our huge garden where swinging hammocks and luscious green grass are waiting for you.

Getting in touch with the Wonderful Waiting World outside Albergo is easy. We run our own Internet Cafe with a fast ADSL connection,WI-FI hotspot, VOIP, Webcams and much more.
